Did you know the month of March is proclaimed as Red Cross Month? Every year, the Canadian Red Cross observes Red Cross month in March and honours the efforts undertaken by the Red Cross Movement to fulfill the humanitarian mission of the organization as a whole.

Quatre membres du CICR et de la Croix-Rouge libanaise se sont rendus récemment à Ketermaya, où ils ont passé quelques heures dans un camp de fortune installé à proximité des montagnes du Chouf. Ils ont eu la chance de rencontrer Nejmeh, une adolescente syrienne qui fait la classe aux enfants réfugiés du camp.

Sara came to Turkey two years ago, fleeing conflict in her hometown. “Many of us saw very bad things happening,” she said. “We are adults but there are many children needing psychological support as they experienced a lot of trauma. They need to be able to express what they feel.”
